1936 War Minister Military Auto Sport Prize Medal

A very large bronze table medal, 3 3/4 inches in diameter, double sided. The medal was given in the name of the Reich War Minister as second prize in the 1936 Wehrmacht Winter Championship competition in auto sports.

This medal was one of several such pieces that were among the effects of NSKK member and Army Officer Gerhard Haeublein, who was killed in action on September 7, 1939, while serving with an armored reconnaissance unit. His father was Army General Georg Haeublein.
