The Model 1902 United States Army officer sword has an overall length of approximately 38-1/2 inches, with a blade length of approximately 32-3/4 inches. The sword has a horn grip, and an etched blade with patriotic designs and a panel identifying the owner of the sword as “Lt. M. J. Walsh”. The blade is generally quite bright, with the scabbard exhibiting some dulling of the surface plating and some rust spotting. The scabbard is engraved engraved between the mounts with the presentation of “Presented to Lieut. M. J. Walsh by 2nd Bn. Hqs. HCT 105th F.A., July 15, 1931”. Overall very good condition.
