1930’s Army Infantry Officer Dress Visor Cap
A very fine example of the dress uniform visor cap of a field Grade U.S. Army infantry officer, circa the pre-World War II era. The cap is dark blue wool with a light blue infantry cap band edged in gold bullion tape. The wool surface of the visor is embroidered with gold bullion oak leaves. The interior of the cap is basket weave construction, and carries the maker label of “Outdoor Military Stores” of Columbus, Ohio. The cap shows use but is in overall excellent used condition.
