1930’s Army General Dress Visor Cap

$1,150.00

The full dress visor cap of a U.S. Army General, circa late 1930’s. there is no interior size tag but the cap appears to be about a size 7. The black wool body of the cap shows the expected age but it is in very clean condition with no mothing or holes. The velvet cap band is magnificently embroidered with heavy gold bullion oak leaves, as is the visor of the cap. A screw back eagle emblem adorns the front of the cap. The interior sweat shield is marked by a Washington, D.C., retailer. The interior leather sweatband is present and intact. The cap is slightly misshapen around the circumference of the cap band as a result of long storage, but this could likely be corrected.
