1930’s 33rd Pursuit Squadron Aircraft Insignia

17″ X 24 3/4″, painted aircraft fabric, over-all in excellent condition with minor crazing. This piece of fabric was cut from a P-12 Fighter at Middletown Air Field by Duncan Campbell in 1933. Written on the back in pencil is “34th Pursuit” and “P-12-262”. The fabric was given to the well known aviation collector Bob Ford by Duncan 20 years ago. Duncan drew a picture of the insignia and Bob wrote on the margin and signed; “Drawed & painted by J. Duncan Campbell. He cut off fabric in 1933. Middletown Air Field near Harrisburg Pa. when he was 17 years old. I got it from him”.
