1916 Dated Imperial Prussian Garde-Jäger EM/NCO Shako

The leather shako body shows expected signs of age, with scratches and typical age crazing. There are no cockades present on the shako. The chin strap shows some loss of the surface leather. The interior leather liner is present, showing wear and use. The interior dome bears manufacturer stamps and the date of 1916 and the sign of “59”. The wool cockade is present on the front peak. The Garde star is retained on the front of the helmet with two leather strips through attachment loops on the front interior of the shako. Overall very good condition with a fine appearance.
