1915 Dated Imperial German Model 1811 “Blucher” Heavy Cavalry Sword with Matching Markings

The heavy cavalry saber has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 36 inches, with a blade length of approximately 29 inches. The matte finish blade appears to be very clean beneath a film of old oil and surface grime. The spine of the blade bears the Prussian “W” cypher as well as the date of “15”. The grip is without chips, cracks, or damage. The guard and the pommel have a dark plum colored patina. The underside of the guard is marked, as is the throat of the scabbard, with the markings of “B.3.A.F.  7.26.”. The scabbard is dark, like the pommel and guard, with some surface rust.
