1906 Model 1898 Long Saw Back Pioneer Bayonet

The bayonet has an overall length of approximately 26 inches, with a blade length of about 20 inches. The pommel and the scabbard lug are both numbered “906”. There is a numeral “6” on the crossguard. The ricasso is marked “Erfurt” while the spine bears the crown and “W” mark of the Kaiser and the date “06”. The blade has old, dried, oil on it but it is generally bright with the typical dark spots. The finish on the scabbard is almost entirely gone, giving the scabbard an overall gray appearance.
