1900 Dated Krag Bowie Knife Bayonet

The bayonet has an overall length of approximately 13-1/2 inches. The blade shows spots and scratches as well as a gray patina and a bit of surface pitting, but it is without nicks, chips, or rust and it makes a very good appearance. The ricasso bears the “U.S.” mark on one side and the date of “1900” on the other side. The pommel and guard have a dark patina. The wood grip plates are without chips or cracks, with the grip plate on one side having three horizontal indentations above the upper rivet. Only approximately 2800 Krag Bowie Knife bayonets were manufactured. No scabbard.
