The blade shows typical spots and scratches but it is generally clean. The wood grip plates are without chips or cracks. The brass pommel has an uncleaned patina. Both the quillon and the scabbard band are numbered, and these numbers are matching. Scabbard retains 99% original blued finish. The arsenal information and the date of 1879 are etched onto the spine.
