A display of relics from the Battle of Gettysburg as assembled by Edward Woodward, a resident gunsmith in Gettysburg who created these desk displays between about 1885 and 1900. This particular display is approximately 6-3/8″ inches wide by 2-7/8″ inches deep. Presented on the wooden base are relics that Woodward recovered from the Gettysburg battlefield, including is an eagle button; a grape shot engraved “Gettysburg 1863”; and a shell fragment engraved “National Cemetery”.
