Single Sided Engraved Army Bayonet by Pack & Son

The bayonet is in excellent condition. The blade is quite bright with minor spots and scratches. One side of the blade is nearly filled by an etching of an almost Art Deco style eagle and swastika flanked by oak leaves. The etching includes the classic motto of “Zur Erinnerung An Meine Dienstzeit” (“In Memory of My Servvice Time”). The opposite side of the blade bears the “Siegfried Waffen” logo of the E. Pack and Son firm. The leather washer is in place at the top of the ricasso. The black checkered Bakelite grips are free of chips or cracks. The plating of the cross guard and pommel is bright and almost completely intact, with only minor edge wear at the top of one side. The black scabbard paint is nearly 100% intact. The leather bayonet frog is in place and shows dulling of the finish due to age.
