WWII Nitsche & Gunther Shatterproof Flying Goggles

WWII Luftwaffe Nitsche & Gunther “Splitterschutzbrille”, or shatterproof, Flying Goggles. Introduced in 1944, the goggles have dark tinted lenses set into a three piece molded frame with a hinged center piece. The full elastic strap retains very good tension. There is rust on the bales on the sides of the frames through which the head strap is looped, but the goggles are in overall excellent used condition.
