Rare WWII Sterling Silver US Navy Harbor Net Tender Command Badge

The badge displays “Oscar the Octopus”, the mascot of the Harbor Net Tender Command, catching a German U-Boat in his tentacles. The pin is nicely struck with excellent detail, even down to a swastika being visible on the hull of the submarine. The badge is approximately 3/4 of an inch in diameter with uncleaned patina and marked as “Sterling”. Pin back, with drop in safety catch.
