NSDAP Ortsgruppe Level Visor Cap

A fine example of the classic Form IV, 1939 pattern of the visor cap of an official of the Nazi Party. The cap has a golden brown wool blen whipcord top with brown velvet cap band, piped in light blue for an official of the Ortsgruppe level. The cap has a wonderful “saddle shape”, with full celluloid sweat shield and the complete RZM tag beneath the sweat band. The appearance of the interior of the cap shows that this was indeed worn by a Nazi Party official. There are a few light spots on the exterior surfaces. There are 3 or 4 bites out of the piping and a small snag in the read overhang of the cap that is about 3/8 of an inch in length. The metal political eagle on the peak has toned to a light copper color. The cap has a splendid form and makes a very good appearance.
