Woman Army Service Pilot Grouping-World War II Army WASP Group. Grouping identified to Helen Porter, a WWII WASP pilot. Grouping includes: 1. Issue Santiago Blue “IKE” Jacket with “Helen Porter” name tag at collar, WASP & Air Corps collar insignia and 2 3/4″ clutch back WASP Wing back marked “Josten Sterling”, enamel “Fifinella” graduation pin measuring 13/16″ X 1″, pin with drop-in locking catch, back marked “Sterling” 2. Full length issue Santiago Blue Tunic named on collar “Helen Porter”, 2 3/4″ clutch back WASP wing back marked “Josten Sterling”, clutch posts resoldered in working life, collars with matching pairs of US and Air Corps collar insignia. Right sleeve with 2 small holes above the elbow. Complete with matching blue waist belt and named skirt in excellent condition. 3. Chocolate brown US Army Officer’s Tunic with matching “US” and Air Corps collar insignia pair, matching sterling Air Transport Command crests pinned on the shoulder straps and 2 3/4″ WASP wing, die struck, pin back, raised mark “Sterling”. Excellent condition. Complete with pair of “Pink” trousers showing minor stains and tan cotton shirt. 4. Pilot qualification record booklet, 4.75″ X 3.75″ showing Porter’s check flights from 1943-1944. 5. Cotton aviation cap. 6. Numerous patches, metals, pins, rank insignia. 7. US Air Force pillow top in original box. 13. Boxed cockpit lamp for British aircraft, mint in box NO. RAF 5C/366. 14. WASP training yearbook for the W4-W5 from the 318th A.A.F.F.T.D. This yearbook contains photos of the classes of 43-W4 and 43-W5 training at Avenger Field in Sweetwater, TX. Numerous photos have been autographed. Back cover of yearbook displays significant damage. Also included are misc patches and insignia, including a wool 316th Bombardment Wing Squadron Patch.
