German Army Signals Officer Visor Cap

A very clean example of the visor cap of an Army signals officer. The cap has a fine saddle shape and is constructed of a smooth, high quality, field gray wool with a bottle green wool cap band and lemon yellow piping. The exterior has some extremely minor and barely perceptible moth tracking, and there is one very tiny hole in the upper yellow piping, but neither of these are even really noticeable except upon a very close examination. The interior shows some indications of wear. The celluloid sweat shield is partially intact. There is a faint maker’s name on the lining beneath the sweat shield. There is also a stamp beneath the leather sweat band. Overall the cap is impressive in appearance and in very fine condition.
