German Cross in Gold by Zimmermann

Four rivet construction. The underside of the pin bears the code of “20” reflecting manufacture by the firm of C.F. Zimmermann of Pforzheim. There is wear to the finish of the star, and the backing disk behind the swastika shows the typical tarnish. The enamel of the swastika has the expected minor surface scratches but there are no chips or cracks. A fine example of a German Cross in gold that was quite obviously worn by a recipient of the decoration.
