Japanese Navy Cherry Blossom Helmet

Uncommon Model 1922 Japanese Navy Cherry Blossom helmet. Shell exhibits about 85% original paint, correct anchor / blossom insignia with rope not a chain as seen on later helmets. Front leather liner lame is detached, all fingers are present. No pads or chin strap. The kanji is for bullet/grenade/shell/bomb/rocket while the numbers (i.e., “4” and “10-56”) are more than likely unit numbers. As one can see, this helmet was issued at least twice over the period of time that is was used.
