Three Allgemeine SS Trade Badges from the Dachau Depot with Note of Provenance

The three trade badges are for the specialties of the medical branch, the veterinarian branch, and the armorer trade specialty. Each trade diamond is machine embroidered on a black wool base. The three insignia are accompanied by a handwritten note of provenance, written by collector Tom McKeown, stating that the two tabs were taken from the SS Depot at the Dachau Concentration Camp on April 30, 1945 by Captain William Thompson, who apparently had a collection of liberated SS insignia. The note further states that Captain Thompson gave the two tabs to Tom McKeown in 1949, who had had them in his possession ever since.
