Third Reich Gau Marked Political Eagle Table Drape 26 by 40 Inches
$450.00
The single sided table drape is constructed of the classic rayon wool blend bunting material, with a separately applied Third Reich political eagle. The drape measures approximately 26 by 40 inches with 3 inches of fringe on the bottom edge. There are suspension rings at each upper corner. The reverse of the drape bears four clear Gau stamps of an Ortsgruppe within Gau Koln-Aachen (Aachen famously being the first German city captured by the Allies during the war, when America forces took the city on October 21, 1944. The America military installed a new Mayor, Franz Oppenhoff, who was assassinated in March of 1945 by an SS “Werewolf” unit). The drape shows use and it exhibits some light spots but it remains in excellent condition, with bright colors and without tears or holes.
