Named Japanese Army Officer Tropical Uniform Jacket
$295.00
An olive brown wool jacket for an officer of the Imperial Japanese Army. The jacket is the second model tropical jacket worn after 1942. The jacket displays the rank insignia of a second lieutenant on the lapels. The interior has the embroidered name of Hiro-se. There are two loops on the upper left breast for a medal or ribbon bar. The jacket shows the expected signs of use, with some light spots and signs of wear, particularly on the edges of the sleeve cuffs and at the interior of the neck. The collar interior of the neck area shows several small holes and one hole in the material that is about 2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide, obviously the result of the officer’s neck rubbing against the material when the jacket was worn. Aside from the collar wear, the jacket is actually in excellent service used condition and it quite clean overall.
