Japanese Army Officer’s Cloak

A Japanese Army officer’s cloak in light weight olive green wool. The cloak has hook and eye closures at the neck, with one exposed top button and four concealed buttons down the front. The cloak has an interior neck strap for fastening the cloak more securely. A removable hood is draped on the back, secured by buttons on the neck of the cloak. The lower rear has a long opening that is closed by buttons that, when unfastened, would allow the cloak to drape to either side of the officer if, for example, he was astride a horse. The collar of the cloak has rank tabs for an Army 2nd Lieutenant. The interior of the cloak shows evidence of wear, and the cloak has some relatively minor spots from use and a few minor holes, but it is in overall very good used condition.
