Camouflaged Model 1916 German Helmet Marked W66
$540.00
A really fascinating and impressive example of a camouflage model 1916 German combat helmet of World War I. The interior of the helmet, which is stamped on the skirt with the designation of “W66”, exhibits the original field gray paint scheme. The exterior of the helmet was given a coat of paint that could best be described as light olive brown. This color was then camouflaged further with wide, thick strokes of light and dark green paint. There are also areas of the helmet exterior which show that some black paint was applied to the camouflage scheme. The exterior paint would rate as approximately 80$ intact. The liner is lacking but the steel liner band is present. A very impressive camouflage combat helmet.
