Camouflaged Model 1916 German Helmet ET64
$1,350.00
A model 1916 German combat helmet that was given a camouflage paint scheme in accordance with the directive of the German High Command in July of 1918. The order specified that helmets were to be painted in patterns using the colors of green, yellow ochre, and rust brown. Those are the colors found on this helmet. The exterior paint would rate as approximately 80% intact. The helmet has the steel liner band that was introduced in 1917, with the three leather liner pads intact. Each pad still has the cotton pouch behind it, but the ties for two of the pouches are now gone. Overall a very impressive example of a camouflage combat helmet with a very dramatic paint scheme.
