The Iron Cross retains the matte black paint on the iron core, while the silver frame exhibits an uncleaned patina. The suspension ring has the LDO manufacturer code of “27”, reflecting production by the firm of Anton Schenkl’s Nachfolger of Vienna. The Iron Cross is on a long length of original ribbon and it is in excellent condition.
