The bayonet has a square pommel and a straight quillon. The dark finish of the blade shows wear, with spots, scratches, and surface grime, and with the blade having period sharpening on the cutting edge. The blade bears markings on the ricasso which reflect production by the Mukden Arsenal in Manchuria. The guard and the pommel show surface rust. The straight wood grip plates show darkening with age and scratches, but they are intact and without damage. The pommel is numbered. The wooden scabbard shows age. Overall good field used condition.
