The bayonet has a bird head pommel and a straight quillon. The blued finish of the blade shows relatively minor wear, but the finish is largely intact. The blade bears marking on the ricasso which reflect production by the Hikari Precision Instruments Corporation under Kokura Arsenal Supervision. The guard and the pommel retain most all of their finish, with light wear. The slightly contoured wood grip plates show darkening with age but they are intact and without chips or damage. The pommel is numbered. The scabbard shows age to the finish with surface wear. Overall excellent field used condition.
