WWII German Fire Police Dress Bayonet with Frog and Knot

The bayonet blade is generally bright, showing some spots and scratches. The leather washer remains in place at the top of the blade. The ricasso is marked “Solingen”. The black checkered Bakelite grip plates are without chips or cracks. The plating of the guard is intact, while the plated surfaces of the pommel exhibit minor speckling, with the rear edge of the pommel showing minor indentations. The black leather frog is complete and intact. The bayonet knot is in very good condition, with the silver bullion showing age toning. The knot has a bright pink insert reflecting the waffenfarbe of the Fire Police. Overall the bayonet is in very good condition.
