Named and Signed WWII Japanese Personal Good Luck Flag

The silk flag is approximately 27 inches by 34 inches. Two reinforced corners retain rope ties. The flag is named to “For Mr. Nakaho”, with the name “Nakaho Shōichi” appearing on the flag, this presumably being the full name of the recipient. The flag bears the declaration of “Prayers for Eternal Good Fortune in Combat” as well as “Demonstrate your community spirit to the great heavens”. The flag also bears numerous signatures of well wishers. The flag shows spots, soiling, and a “V” shaped separation that is approximately 1-1/2 inches in length within the sun.
