$425.00

The silk flag is approximately 29 inches by 40 inches. The flag bears the declaration of “Prayers for Eternal Good Fortune in Combat”, together with the statement that the flag was “Presented to Mr. Koichi Yoda” and the designation of “Waseda University”, indicating that the recipient of the flag was a student at the university who was going to war. The flag has the additional declaration of “Serve the nation with courage and loyalty” and “In life, one acts out of shared spirit and passion [rather than for fame or fortune]”, a classic line from a Tang dynasty poem by Wei Zheng.
