The exterior brown paint shows spots and scratches from field wear, but the paint is largely intact. The interior of the helmet appears to bear a faint stamp as well as a handwritten name which is not entirely legible. The full liner is present, with all three leather pads affixed the the liner band and with the “pillows” behind the leather pads retaining their filling. The interior side of the helmet is marked “C.A.S. 66”, reflecting a size 66 shell that was manufactured by the firm of C. A. Scholtz of Mateocz. The fabric chin strap is also present on the helmet showing spots and wear, with a partial tear of the leather section which retains the buckle, but the chin strap remains complete. Overall very good field used condition.
