Kriegsmarine Officer Dagger with Hanger by Carl Eickhorn

The etched blade shows a few spots of plating loss, but generally the blade is bright, displaying a decorative etch with anchors on both sides. The ricasso bears the Eickhorn squirrel trademark, with the leather washer in place at the top of the blade. The grip is without chips or cracks and it retains the twisted brass wire wrapping. The guard and pommel display a fine gilt finish, with very good detail and mild patina. The scabbard is embellished with lightning bolts and, while is has smudges and signs of age, it is intact and complete with carrying rings. A single hanger strap is affixed to one of the rings, with that strap having a broken latch at the top. Overall the dagger is in very good condition.
