The display piece has an overall height of approximately 23-5/8 inches. The silk Reichskriegsflagge itself is approximately 5-7/8 inches by 9-1/4 inches. One side of the base bears a Stahlhelm membership badge, while the opposite side displays an engraved plaque with the dedication of “To my loyal employee / F. Arthur Link / in Remembrance / [From] Herbert Busse / February 3, 1936”. The staff is an actual flagpole on which the flag can be raised and lowered by a string which is tied to a small cleat at the base of the pole. The desk display piece shows signs of age, but overall it is very impressive and it makes an excellent appearance.
