The slightly curved armor plate is approximately 5 inches by 7 inches, sewn into a fabric sleeve with cord ties. The plate was intended to be worn by the soldier suspended over his heart. This plate was struck by a bullet but the armor plate was not pierced through entirely. One side of the plate retains its retailer label.
