The porcelain dinner plate is approximately 9 inches in diameter. The plate features the anchor and chrysanthemum insignia of the Imperial Japanese Navy, with the plate having gold decorative trim. The reverse is manufacturer marked “Kikusui Seitosho”, a Japanese ceramics and porcelain manufacturer historically located in Seto, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. The mark also displays the kanji characters for “Kikusui Hard Porcelain”. The plate is in very good condition, without chips or cracks.
