Imperial Saxon EM/NCO Pickelhaube Marked to the 100th (1st Royal Saxon) Life Grenadiers Regiment

The leather surface of the helmet exhibits age crazing as well as surface scuffs and chips. The spike, spike base, the front visor edge and the rear spine, as well as the front Saxon wappen plate all show patina. The helmet has national colors and Saxon cockades. The original chin strap shows age, being somewhat dry and cracked, but being intact. The Saxon front plate is retained on the helmet though two holes. The liner is present on the interior, showing age and use, but it is complete and intact. The interior rear visor is depot marked and it is marked as well to the 100th (1st Royal Saxon) Life Grenadiers Regiment. The helmet shows age and signs of wear, but it retains a fine shape and overall it makes a very good appearance.
