World War II Japanese Type 93 8×6.2° Trench Binocular Battery Commander’s Telescope

The olive brown colored trench binoculars have an 8 power magnification with a 6.2 degree field of view. The optics are generally quite clear. The exterior of the binoculars show spots and wear, but the brown painted finish is largely intact. The adjustment knob bears the Japanese Engineering Standard (“JES”) stamp alongside the tactical acceptance symbols used by the Imperial Japanese Army, and it is marked with the serial number “6795”. The binoculars have an overall length of approximately 16 inches. When the legs of the supporting tripod are extended, the tripod has a height of approximately 49 inches, giving the binoculars a total overall height of approximately 65 inches. Overall the set is in very good field used condition.
