The bayonet has a bird head pommel and a curved quillon. The blade shows age patina and spots, but the blade is generally bright. The blade bears marking on the ricasso which reflect production by the Prism Instrument Factory under Kokura Arsenal Supervision. The guard and the pommel retain most all of their finish, with some wear. The slightly contoured wood grip plates are intact. The pommel is numbered. The scabbard shows age to the finish. Both the scabbard and the frog exhibit age and field use, but they are complete and intact. Overall very good condition.
