The silk flag is approximately 27 inches by 38 inches, with two corners retaining cord ties. The flag bears the name of the recipient, “Mr. Buntaro Abe (of Kyushu)”. The flag bears the slogan of “Prayers for Eternal Good Fortune in Combat” as well as slogans of “Sure Victory”; “Kill the Enemy at Once”; “Destroy American Devils”; “Steadfast”; and “Selfless for Own Life”. The flag further bears a total of 85 signatures and two war poems. The flag exhibits spots and signs of age but it makes an excellent appearance.
