Model 1916 Bavarian Reichswehr Helmet by Eisenhütte Silesia
$1,750.00
The helmet exterior exhibits a darkened finish with typical spots, scratches and areas of surface roughness. The left side of the helmet displays a large shield in the Bavarian surmounted by the Wittelsbach crown, the insignia worn in 1919 by the early units of the Bavarian Reichswehr as well as by Freikorps von Epp when it was transformed in the XXI Brigade of the Provisional Reichswehr. The interior retains two of the three liner pads. The interior side bears the “Si” manufacturer code for Eisenhütte Silesia of Paruschowitz Oberschlesien. The size marking is not clear, but the firm made helmet shells in sizes 62 and 66. Overall very good condition.
