Imperial Wurttemberg Artillery Officer Pickelhaube

The surfaces of the leather helmet show typical cracks and age crazing, and it shows a few scuffs, but the helmet retains a very good shape. The Imperial Wurttemberg front plate is retained through two holes in the front of the helmet. The brass front edge of the visor, the wappen front plate, the spike, the spike base, and the rear spine all show an uncleaned patina. The helmet displays Wurttemberg and national colors officer cockades. A brass “fish scale”chin strap is present. The full silk liner is intact on the interior, with a small separation towards the rear. The leather sweatband is also present, with signs of wear and use but being complete. Overall the helmet is in good condition and it makes a very nice appearance.
