1874 French Shako of the Military Academy in Saint-Cyr

The wool body of the shako shows surface soiling and a few small holes. The front of the shako bears the brass plate of the “École Spéciale Militaire” for the elite French military academy in Saint-Cyr. The surface of the leather visor shows several dents and typical age crazing. The interior of the shako bears the date of 1863. Overall very good condition.
