Camouflaged German Model 1916 Combat Helmet

The exterior surfaces of the helmet show areas of field gray and red-brown. The exterior exhibits spots and surface grime as well as scratches and typical scuffs. The interior retains the liner with the “pillows” behind the leather tongues retaining their filling. The drawstring is intact. The interior of the helmet side bears an indistinct maker mark and size. The leather chin strap is present, but it is quite dry and it is broken, retaining the attachment rings. Overall very good field used condition.
