WWI German Nahkampfmesser Trench Knife

The unmarked blade has a mottled gray appearance with spots and scratches but without chips, nicks, or active rust. The leather washer is in place at the top of the blade. The guard retains its painted finish. One of the wood grip plates lost approximately one-half of its length and it was repaired during the period. The black finish of the scabbard is largely intact.
