WWI Model 1915 Imperial Prussian Jäger EM/NCO Shako Marked to a Machine Gun Unit

The body of the black leather visor shows scuffs, scratches, and age crazing. The Imperial Prusian wappen front plate is retained through two holes in the body of the helmet. The national colors cockade is present, while the Prussian colors cockade is missing. The leather chin strap is a replacement. The full leather liner is intact, complete with the drawstring. The rear visor is unit marked with the designation of “F.M.G.A.6.” for “Festungs-Maschinengewehr-Abteilung 6”, being the 6th Fortress Machine Gun Detachment based at Posen in East Prussia. Overall very good condition.
