Saxon Field Artillery Officer Pickelhaube

The body of the leather helmet exhibits a few scuffs as well as typical age crazing of the surfaces, but the helmet retains a very good shape. The helmet plate is secured through two holes on the front. The brass and silver Saxon helmet plate, the font visor edge, the kugel top and base with star rivets, the brass “fish scale” chinstrap and the rear spine all show an uncleaned patina. The helmet has a Saxon cockade and a national colors cockade. The interior fabric liner is intact. Overall very good condition.
