The surface of the leather helmet body exhibits typical age crazing, particularly on the rear visor, but the finish is very good and the helmet displays a fine shape. The helmet front plate is retained through two holes in the front of the body. The spike is removable. The spike, base, and front plate all show an uncleaned patina. The helmet retains both the Saxon and the national colors cockade. The leather chin strap is a replacement. The interior liner is present and intact. The helmet makes a very fine appearance and overall it is in very good condition.
