WWII Army Air Force 9th Air Force Sergeant’s Ike Jacket

The Ike jacket bears “U.S.” and Army Air Force disks on the collar. Both sleeves carry wool Sergeant chevrons, while the left shoulder bears a British-made 9th Air Force patch. The upper left breast has a sterling silver, full size, clutch back Air Crew wing above service ribbons. Below the ribbons is a marksmanship badge with “Pistol” bar. The lower left sleeve has two overseas service chevrons, while the lower right sleeve has an Army Air Force communications specialist insignia. The jacket retains the 1944 dated manufacturer tag in the interior pocket, with the tag marked as a size 36 Regular. On the upper right breast is the honorable discharge “Ruptured Duck” insignia. The jacket is very clean, without holes, damage or repairs. Overall excellent condition.
