WWII Japanese Army Officer Canteen with Compass Cap

The canteen is complete with the full shoulder strap and all cover closure snaps are intact. The cover has kanji characters at the bottom of the obverse side. The cover has a stitched repair to the obverse shoulder, while the rear of the canteen cover has a split above an old stitched repair. The drinking cup cap has a compass set into the base, with the cup having some indentations to the base edge. The canteen lacks the stopper under the cap.
